Corolla Fish Report
Swap out Saturday. That's right out with the old and in with the new. This week, for some reason, the fishing has slowed down, and I did get some reports late yesterday of some anglers getting fish. There was a good bluefish bite for some, and some were walking out at low tide and casting over the sandbar and finding a good bluefish bite. The water remains clean and clear with a temp of 78 today. All we really need is the bite to turn on. Today's pics were sent in by Brad, and I have to apologize, Brad; I just kept forgetting to put them in. I don't get too much time to spit out a report most of the time. Brad caught another shark just shy of 8 feet, along with some other catches, so very nice, Brad, and thanks for sending them in. I don't have a bunch of news, but we did have some drum hit the beach earlier in the week along with sharks, mullet, bluefish, and flounder, mostly on cut mullet. The piers have been a bit on the slow side as well. The boaters, however, are doing very well, with nearshore boats getting a good mix of fish and the offshore fleet finding some tuna with loads of mahi and sailfish and marlin!!
Charters are available; call the shop to book.
Send in your fish pics, and I will try not to forget to put them in to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
