Corolla Fish Report
Much cooler today. We have a mild north wind today to cool things off. Yesterday was hot and steamy and the humidity was ridiculous. The ocean a little rough but not bad but it just might be enough to get those drum to bite tonight. It has been a pretty quite check in day today but we have had bluefish and spanish and you need to be up early for these fish to bite on lures. For the rest of the fish out there we see croaker, mullet, spot, flounder and some strange mullet or kingfish being reported with stripes going in all directions kind of hard to explain but they do look different and there has been a few caught. We are starting to hear about some small pompano coming in and it is about that time of the year to start to see them. Lot's of bait in the water to and these fish have been feeding. Todays ocean temp is 80 degrees. The nearshore boats catching mostly spanish for now and the offshore boats getting some mahi, tilefish and sea bass with some good billfish fishing. The piers did have blues and spanish on them this morning.
