Corolla Fish Report
Flounder season starts tomorrow!! That's right, you have one week to get some flounder, so if you're here you're in luck. As far as how the rest of the fishing is going, it is going well. The water remains clean and clear and is sitting around 80 degrees. There are lots of small pompano around, and with so many, I just wonder where their parents are; you would think that they would follow. We had more reports of Jack Crevalle hitting some lines today, and they are a decent size. If that's not enough, the Spanish and bluefish are still hitting with mullet, spot, and croakers, and we don't want to leave out the flounder. The piers report blues and Spanish with rudderfish some false albacore, pinfish, and spot. The nearshore boats are mostly Spanish while the offshore fishing has improved, and we are seeing some yellowfin with lots of mahi, tilefish, sailfish, and marlin, so a good time to be on the water.
We are looking for one, maybe two, anglers to share a boat with one angler who chartered the boat to share the cost. The trip is an 8-hour nearshore ending up at the towers where you can find almost anything. It should be a very good trip. You can call the shop to get booked in if your interested. The total for the trip is $1400, so the guy who chartered the boat is looking for one or two people to share the cost.
