It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Well, it is definitely hot out today, but the water is beautiful. A slow day at the shop today, so I am not picking up any information, but I do know that those small pompano are here along with mullet, croakers, flounder, and spot. The beach is virtually empty, so finding a spot on the beach is not a problem. As far as bait goes, I think you can just get away with fish bites right now and get plenty of action. Jennette's Pier reported yesterday that they were getting small mahi and small sailfish from the pier. Nearshore boats were getting some drum, flounder, bluefish, and Spanish while offshore boats had an abundance of sailfish and blue marlin.

We are still looking for someone to join the 8-hour charter on September 7. Please call the shop for more information.

Charters are available. Please call the shop for bookings.

Send those fish pics to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com, and we thank you.
