Corolla Fish Report

If I have said it once I'll say it again North east wind = Drum it's easy math. I just spoke to an angler up in Carova and he had 9 drum last night all well over slot along with bluefish and spanish mixed in and they are hammering the glass minnows. I have spoke to other anglers that have caught several drum so they have been hitting the beach the last couple of days some on mullet and some on shrimp. So we had three good days of drum action now the bad news we will have a wind shift for the rest of the week and the waves will die down. It does seem that the fishing had been better at night but there has also been some good early morning action as well. There has also been some big door mats landed lately. From the piers there has been flounder, jack crevalle, bluefish and spanish. The nearshore fleet have flounder, spanish and bluefish. Offshore had plenty of sailfish along with some blue marlin and lots of mahi and some tuna.
