Corolla Fish Report
This morning was perfect. The water was a beautiful turquoise color and crystal clear. We had reports that the dolphins were in very close this morning and were pushing all the fish right up to the shoreline, and fish were racing up and down the beach; people said it was amazing to watch. It was flat and calm for the first half of the day, and just like clockwork, the northeast wind fired up at noon today, so it's time to get the big rods out, and the drum should be there tonight. The waves will pick up for the next two days before we see a wind change and things start to calm back down. Plenty of fish out there the drum will be on cut mullet, spanish and blues mostly on lures early morning and at dusk, and for the rest of the fish, a double-bottom rig with fish bites seems to be doing the trick. That's all there is to it!! The piers have spanish, blues, and croaker. The nearshore fleet has lots of spanish and albacore. Offshore with mahi and sailfish.
