Corolla Fish Report
Good Saturday morning. We have a little sunshine this morning as the storm finally leaves us. The wind is still blowing at 28 mph this morning, and the surf is very rough. With the high surf and high tide this morning, the water is up to the dunes; there is very little to no beach to stand on. The winds and waves will start to go away tomorrow, but won't return to normal until the end of the day, so Monday morning we should be back to normal. For people coming in and staying on the 4x4 beach, your timing getting here is going to be important, as you will only get up there at low tide. Peak low tide is at 2 pm today, and that will be your chance to get through, as there is no beach at high tide. If your plans were to go down to Hatteras, Hwy 12 remains closed, as there is no road, so we will probably see you up here. I do not have a fish report, as I am already getting calls about it and how much weight it will take to hold bottom. To put it simply, I don't know; it's up to your best guess, and when you see the surf you'll understand. We won't have any reports till things calm down and the incoming people start to catch something.
