Corolla Fish Report
Well, another great day up here and everybody is having a great time. Fishing is really good up here right now and the weather is nice as well. The wind and current is a little challenging but very fishable and we had some anglers come in this morning with some great reports. Thank you all for that we rely a lot on this kind of info from the people on the beach. One angler came in and wanted a custom tied triple hook bottom rig which we were happy to make and he is using the current to his advantage. He is only using a 2 oz. sinker which will hold the rig out there and he is letting the current walk him down the beach letting the rig find multiple holes out there and he has the first reports and has caught several puppy drums and other fish by doing this. With that said we now have some Drum in the area along with Spanish caught this morning, Mullet, Spot, Kingfish and yes LOADS of Bluefish. I have some anglers actually complain that their arms hurt from catching so many fish. The waves are 1 to 2 feet and a NW wind @ 9 kts. water temp 77 degrees. Not sure why I need to give a pier report with all the activity up here but here you are, Avalon a couple of Cobia some Pompano, Blue's and Spanish. Nags Head Blue's, Spot, Spade. Jennette's Spot, Croaker, Perch, Mullet and Blues. OBX Bluefish, Spanish and good Spot fishing. Nearshore Amberjacks, Spanish, Blue's. Inshore Mullet, Amberjack, Specks, Croaker, Cobia and Shark. For the Offshore report well it's back on with 17 Sailfish, 10 White Marlin and 3 Blue Marlin some Yellowfin good numbers on the Mahi and plenty of Tile fish. Talked to one of our captains this morning and he said the Bill fishing is fantastic right now. So let's go Book now and Book in advance for some of the best fishing that's going on right now!!!!
