Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Happy Fourth Of July !!  We will just start out with some good news. Nat that lives here in Corolla scored a nice catfish and was kind enough to share his picture so thank you Nat. I also understand there has been some good drum and black drum fishing on the sound side as well. Also Harvey Cleveland land scored his drum at midnight on shrimp so a congratulations to you Harvey as well!!
As far as the local surf goes it seemed to really slow down, but I did have some good reports this morning. As I said yesterday it could just be certain fishermen not getting anything while others are, in most cases you really have to pay attention to your rod. We had a novice in this morning come in and has done pretty well with some nice trout and there are puppy drum hitting to.
The nearshore boat's have ribbon fish, Spanish, bluefish, with an occasional cobia. On the inside trout, drum.
The offshore fleet still finding plenty of yellowfin with some wahoo and mahi. Loads of tilefish were in the bag yesterday and there are white, blue marlin and sails out there to
