We have another nice day today and some fishing news. I was out yesterday and I can sum it up with one word "Dentist" end of story. We did have a report of a striper hitting the beach and Joeseph sent in a report from the 4x4 beach and caught a few trout they were throwbacks but did say the fishing picked up during the tide change. The good news is that the trout have begun to bite!  Tim and Lauren are fishing in Pine Island for Tims's Birthday and it looks like there not only enjoying themselves but he's catching some nice fish so Happy Birthday Tim and thanks for the reports and pictures.
The water temp is looking real good at 66 this morning with mild waves. I am hearing word that there is a strong current going on which does make the fishing harder to do, sometimes we have to take the bad with the good. The piers a little on and off but are seeing some good fishing. Spanish, blues and some puppy drum, and sea mullet.
The nearshore boats were out and did find some cobia to bring back to the docks with Spanish and bluefish. On the inside there were puppy drum, mullet and trout caught. The offshore fleet was out as well and the mahi bite was real good with limits of fish. The tuna were scattered but there and blue marlin, king mackerel The bottom fishing remains very good with sea bass and tilefish.

We do have some charters open and available this week and next just call and book yours today !! $50.00 will hold your spot.
Thanks to everyone that sends in your pictures and reports they help us out in the shop more than you know and you can send yours to us as well to obxbaitandtackl@yahoo.com
