Corolla to Nags Head Sound

It feels like summer. The surf fishing a little up and down along our beaches and we have had a good mullet bite yesterday and some large black drum with some trout. You can catch a bucket of mullet right now and have a great fish fry. The bait of choice has been shrimp, fish bites, and bloodworms. Calm conditions and the water is clear with a temp of 64 today. The piers are a little slow today. The nearshore boats on the ocean side have bluefish, Spanish, and a chance for cobia. On the inside trout and drum. The offshore fleet over the weekend had a good time with a lot of citation yellowfin and bigeye tuna up to 169#s with some mahi and billfish. It is hot out and we may see some thunderstorms creeping in later this afternoon.

Charter fishing trips are available next week, we have completely filled up this week and it's not just us everyone is booked up this week so plan ahead and reserve your spot today!!
