Happy 4th of July everyone!!  It's out with the old and in with the new as we change over for this holiday week and we already have seen some festive outfits like Brian from Currituck above sporting his stars and stripes and wearing it proudly I must say.
The water temp is up a touch to 66 and let's hope the fish will come and play. There is a moderate rip today so be careful in the water especially the little ones. We don't really have any reports just yet off of the beach as people are just getting started drinking and fishing. We will have mullet, croaker, spot and we may see some puppy drum and blues around. The shark fishing, if you're into that, has been good and some big one have been landed. The bait right now has been shrimp, fish bites, and bloodworms which are in limited supply this year so we brought in Lug worms which are basically the same thing and you get more for less so give them a try they work just as good.
We do have some charteres available this week just call the shop for availability and we have crabbing trips, inshore trips and offshore trips for the tuna and marlin.

Send your holiday photos to us and we will post you in the next fishing report at obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com   and we thank you  and have a great 4th !!
