Let's get it started with congratulations to Lauren for scoring her first drum on the first day of vacation and as you can see she is very happy and a job well done Lauren let's keep it going. Next up we have Justin that sent in a photo of his 27 1/2 inch drum hitting the scales at around 12 lbs and a very nice fish as well and it was caught on fish bites blood worm flavor so never underestimate the power of fish bites!! Happy Birthday to Isaiah and Christian two locals from the 4x4 beach invited some friends to go on their first charter trip that they got for their present. One of the boys is our very own Brodie that works here one day a week in the summer showing off his skills, all the boys had a great time and caught plenty of ribbonfish and a couple of sharks. Also a special thanks to Captain James for tacking them out for a fun day on the water.
Along the beach, there are drum to be had as you can see with pretty favorable conditions out with a 75-degree water temp. There are also mullet, croaker, spot, flounder out there as well. Shrimp and fish bites seem to be top dog on the bait scale. So that's what's going on up here for now. Nearshore we are seeing ribbons and Spanish, albacore for the most part, and on the inside drum and trout. Offshore has a variety of tuna, wahoo, mahi, tiles and white and blue marlin.

Charters are available this week just call the shop for details.

Send your photo to us and we will post your winning catch on the fish report. Send them to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com   And we thank you.
