Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Crisp and cool this morning and feels like fall is here. We are hearing about some drum on the 4x4 beach being caught way up toward the end of the road and there have been some good size ones landed. Some bluefish yesterday and mullet and croaker are being caught. The water temp today is 73 degrees and good water conditions. It is still on the windy side of things but the drum do like this north wind. We are going to see a wind shift tomorrow and the wind will be light out of the west. The piers have some decent fishing on them and there has been some big drum hitting off of Jennette's. The charter fleet has had some bad days some did get out on the sound for some Spanish yesterday but the inlet just has been too rough to get anyone out through it. Tomorrow is looking much better so with any luck the long and short-range will be able to get out. All in all, it feels like fall is here, and can't wait to drop a line in myself time to dust off the gone fishing sign for the store.

Charters are open this week call for availability for 1/2 day to all day. Shrimp trips are available and our twilight trips are available this week.
