Good to be back Saturday. Sorry I was out for the week getting caught up on doctor appointments it is the last chance we have to get all of the nonsense stuff out of the way before the season starts. So let's get to it. What you missed is there had been good fishing along the beach with a good mullet bite and drum as well. Now it is slow for parts or sometimes most of the day but then they hit. Matthew has been sending in reports via e-mail which I can't thank him enough it really helps us out to know what's going on out there. Now  Mathew said it was slow up till 2:45 to 3:30 then he caught 6 drums ranging from22" to 32" on a high low rig with shrimp so not too bad of an afternoon. Mathew is here for a month and he seems to always catch some nice fish. Another good customer finally caught a nice  25 inches her second week here which made her day because the week prior was really slow and then she pulled in quite of few fish also. So we move into check-in day and a new week and we will see what it brings so stay tuned. The pier fishing down in the Kitty Hawk area has had some good days also so a good way to spend the day. The charter fleet has had some really good days recently. We are seeing albacore, Spanish, bluefish, and drum, and I have seen some very big sheepshead hitting the rails as well. Offshore action is getting tuna, big wahoo, a good mahi bite, albacore, and king mackerel so a very busy day on the open water and some great fishing overall. I am just now looking at this week's surf forecast and boy it is looking like a brought week. Today's waves are 1 to 2 feet but then late Sunday afternoon it starts to really ramp up to 15 feet and they don't get back to normal till Friday when they calm back down to 3 and 4-footers. The Water temp at this time is 64 degrees so at the moment we have very nice conditions but it is looking like a very windy week ahead, sorry to end on a bad note. We will keep up to speed as things change and we thank you.
