Corolla Fish Report
The start of summer. Not sure I am ready but here we go. Congratulations to Chris he sent in his photo of his 26" drum and his dad caught a large whiting. Patience is the name of the game right now Chris defiantly put in his time with some long soaks but it did pay off, so good job Chris you got one!!
We did have a report yesterday of large bluefish in the area and there has been some drum, black drum, and mullet. I would like to see some trout come in to the area and the surf fishing up here has been up and down but there are fish to be caught for sure. Shrimp and fish bites have been working the best and some have been on finger mullet. On the piers have seen some good days mixed with some slow ones as well. There have been cobia, drum, blues, Spanish, trout, and mullet on them. Nearshore boats are having some good fishing right now. The cobia bite has been very good one boat had 20 yesterday so folks are getting their limits on these fish. There is also drum and large trout on the bayside and it is some really good fishing. Kayakers doing just as good with some large schools of fish to be had. The offshore boats are filling their boxes up with the tuna with many boats getting their limits within a short time. there are some mahi in the mix with most of the mahi to the south. Billfish are out there also so just some stellar fishing going on out in the gulf.
We do have some spots open for full-day offshore fishing available so don't wait too long as June is pretty full already. Our 1/ and 3/4 day boats have a few spots open this week but they won't last long either so get in on some fantastic fishing right now this week's weather is looking very good!!
