Corolla Fish Report
Another nice hot day today. We do expect some thunderstorms tonight and we may see some rain tomorrow morning but it has been a very good week. We may get some effects from Agatha Sunday and Monday as it passes we will have to see how it will affect the surf fishing. I did hear some reports this morning of some drum hitting last night with one being a large one. We are seeing a decent mullet bite and the fishing isn't perfect or red hot but there are fish being caught and some folks not doing so well. I still say it is the location and how the beach and surf look where you may be at. There has been a lot of sand that has shifted around during the last storm and has changed the beach. I still get people in that have been catching plenty of mullet and whatnots and want something bigger, I get it but I don't control what bits your line, there is no magic bait or lure Hentz why they call it fishing, I mean relax and enjoy whatever is on the line. The charter fleet is still waking the fish both inshore, nearshore, and offshore with some nice cobia and large drum, trout, Spanish, sea bass, yellowfin, mahi with some big eye tuna on the move with billfish. We may see some delays in getting boats out this next week it will depend on the remnants of Agatha. This week we have had glassy conditions but next week could be somewhat rougher out but I think the fleet will be out by mid-week. We will most likely see the waves pick up along the shore, but so far my charts don't look too bad around 3 feet but the current will be the real challenge we just have to wait and see. Currently, the water temp is at 63 this morning.
The charter desk is open just call for details.
