Corolla Fish Report
Winding down Friday. We want to congratulate James on his drum catch this morning caught on squid about a mile from the shop and just like me he had no tape measure or scale but as you can see it's a nice fish. I have heard of other large drums this week as well. The fishing has been slow, but some quality fish have hit the beach along with a bunch of mullets. There has been an occasional blue and trout but not in any kind of numbers. The morning and evening have been the best times to fish the afternoons have been slow. The pier action has been on and off as well. The nearshore boats have enjoyed some really great fishing this week with cobia, Spanish, ribbonfish, and bluefish. There are also large drum and trout to be had as well. The offshore action has also done very well this week with some big eye tuna coming in with lots of yellowfin and mahi and sailfish, blue marlin, and white marlin. Not sure what we are in for at the begging of the week for offshore with the remnants of Agatha coming from the gulf we will have to wait and see.
