Stargazer Tuesday. Photo sent in by Callie Mallow where they found this fish on the beach at False Cape state park. As they looked at this well let's face it ugly fish they noticed that it was still alive so they helped it back to the water and it swam away. These fish are found in most parts of the world but here are some fun facts they didn't know. Located in the modified eye muscles is an organ that gives off an electrical shock putting off 50 volts of power, it probably won't kill you but it's enough current to ruin your day. Also behind the eyelids and their pectoral fins are spins that car venomous, now it won't kill you but it's going to hurt a lot!! So if you have to handle one just be aware and careful. They are also eatable and known as poor man's lobster is the best way to describe how they taste and are used in all kinds of different recipes. So there you have it stargazer fun facks.

Along the surf it is slow at this time some mullet and spot just not hearing anything from the beach other than the shark fishing has been good. Slow on the piers as well. Nearshore boats have Spanish and ribbonfish. Offshore has yellowfin and a good number of wahoo came in yesterday with blackfin and mahi.

there is some good shrimping going on right now and we have some trips available along with fishing trips.

Send your phot and questions to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we than you
