Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Just another Sunday in the outer banks. We have hot weather and calm ocean conditions and clean clear water. I Will start with the pictures the cobia pic was sent to me by a friend and if true it was caught up on the 4x4 beach on light tackle and I am not sure what this fish was doing there but never the less quite a catch. The second pic is a buttermilk pie that a customer brought us just to say thanks and I have to say I can't wait to dig into it and yes bribes do work. We do have a good mullet bite going on and the fish are in close I mean right out in front of you along with croaker and some houndfish and a couple of puppy drum. Also, I am hearing reports of a lot of jellyfish in the water keeping the swimmers out of the surf I have not had a chance to put eyes on this but would like to see it first hand it could be just from the lack of any current the ocean has been flat for better than a week now. The piers are seeing an up tic today with some small cobia, puppy drum, blues, triggers, and Spanish. Nearshore boats are finding some nice big drum to play with and ribbonfish. The offshore fleet has yellowfin, blackfin, and some nice wahoos hitting the deck and in good numbers, mahi and billfish. Sound side up here in Corolla we have drum, black drum, perch, bass, and trout.

Charters are available call the shop for details.
