OBX Bait & Tackle Corolla Outer Banks, Corolla Fish Report
Wednesday, September 7, 2022
Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Washed out Wednesday. Well as I said yesterday it is rough out and the seagrass is flowing. I think Earl is going to affect us for at least two more days if not three. We did have reports of some fish hitting a bait ball this morning and there have been fish hooked and lost at the beach or bitten off so no way of telling who is responsible for these dirty deeds we will have to wait on confirmation. So we won't see much of a change fo a couple of days. The piers are reporting bluefish, grey trout, and croakers. Nearshore boats have mostly Spanish and albacore out there and there are drum and trout on the inside. Offshore yesterday had mostly sailfish caught and there were a bunch of flags flying. Sound side in Corolla the fishing has been a little hard these last few days and not sure why. There is still some drum out there but the perch action has died way down. The catfish bite is there and I have had reports of some largemouth bass hitting from shore and a school of striper but the striper just didn't want to bite.

Charters are available call for details.
