Well, I wish I could say I was out fishing since I haven't posted anything in 5 days but that's just not the case. I just have been busy in the shop. The ocean has been rough but it is finally getting back to normal. We had some big breakers yesterday and they are still some good size waves today but the drum are here. The piers the last 3 days have been on fire with a ton of big reds. I have had reports of some good size drum up here as well. The water is cleaning up nicely and we have much better conditions out now. Only one boat made it out yesterday and got 3 marlin a wahoo and a couple of mahi and more boats should be able to get out in the days coming so no one has had an ocean report lately. But it is that time of the season where the fishing is picking up and its still warm out and the beaches are open. I will try and get back on schedule and keep you up to date now we should start to get some reports coming in.

Charters are available and we have one of our boats starting there night trip for drum and we had great success with this trip last year so Captain Marcus is going to do it again this year. These trips are 5 hrs and leaves the dock at 5 pm and goes out for the big drum. You can have up to 6 passengers and the cost is 800.00 and is a lot of fun,you can call the shop for more details.

Send your question and photos to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
