Corolla Fish Report
Well, it is definitely a much cooler week than last, and as you may have guessed I have been out of the office the last couple of days. As it turns out you have not missed anything. Today the ocean looks pretty clear but we do have a rough surf as the wind is blowing NNE @ 13 kts this morning with a water temp up here coming in at 59 this morning. All is quiet along the beach and I am not picking up too much activity on the piers either. High tide comes in today at 12:51 pm this afternoon so this week we are a little off-kilter with the tides however next week should fall back in line with dawn and dusk tides so a little something to look forward to. The nearshore fleet on the sound side had red drum, trout, flounder, and some blues while the oceanside did see some schooling drum and caught some larger bluefish. Out in the Gulfstream the all-day boats still doing well with yellowfin and blackfin and had a good run on the mahi as the numbers did increase. There were also some large wahoo coming to the dock at 50 #er and 63 #er. The weather out there this week is going to be rough but the fish are out there for you!!
We are starting to get some early charter bookings so if you are thinking of a charter this season plan ahead we do have some great trips available and we are also offering an evening trip from 5 o'clock to 8 pm and you can get in some light fishing in while enjoying your favorite cocktail and watch the sunset. This trip runs 450.00 and all of our trips only require a 50.00 dollar deposit to hold your spot till you get here you won't find this anywhere on the island. Call and reserve your spot today and we will see you soon.
If any new info comes in today I will post an update later this afternoon if something exciting were to happen.
