Beautiful day out today. The water looks great even though it's still on the chilly side at 58 degrees with 2-foot waves. The fishing is not red hot it is on the slow side but it's just too nice of a day not to be throwing a line in the water. Yesterday we did have a couple of over slot size drum hit and I am seeing reports of some nice striper down in the Nags Head area so we are seeing some movement. We have seen this week with the drum, mullet, and southern kingfish, and skate of course. The piers today have skate, mullets, and some bluefish on them. The boats should be running today and there are drum, trout, and some sheepshead as I heard from one captain to be had. Long-range boats finding some good fishing with a good amount of mahi, yellowfin, blackfin, and some wahoo. We will be seeing a little warmer weather for next week and if the wind cooperates maybe the water temp will get better and we can get in some better fishing.

We are taking early bookings for charters call the shop or take a look on our web page at obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com we can get you all set up for some great fishing trips and we have the lowest deposit rates on the island!!
