Yep, you guessed it yours truly had a chance to go fishing, and boy I'm glad I did!!  Captain Josh that runs for this shop right here in Corolla called last night and ask if I wanted to go fishing, you just have to take those opportunities we they come your way. The first of many drums we caught this morning and most were about 25 to 26". The trout were biting along with some other fish which I do not know and we were using popping corks and fresh peeler crabs. We then moved to try a new spot and the trout bite was great there these trout were around 25" and fat boys. In the mix a big catfish and some perch. We fished for about 3 hours before I had to come back to reality and get to work. I will say it was a great trip to do and a good learning lesson to see how the fishing is sound side and was a very fun trip. The run time to the fishing grounds is short giving you more time to fish and was very enjoyable.
We had some good reports from the beach today!! One angler reported a 35" striper caught on a mullet head. A good bite on the mullet was also reported with a good number of red drum caught both surf side and sound side, so here we start to go!! The fishing was good yesterday and as I have said it just takes time to hear about it. The water temp is at 60 today and the ocean is just flat with the offshore wind which is calm today. Not really any boat reports to speak of except long-range getting a good amount of yellowfin, mahi and wahoo with one big blue marlin a day ago. Well at least we had some good news for today I will keep you updated and we thank you.

We are taking early bookings for charters and we have a lot of trips available you call the shop for the details.
