The fishing is good if you are a Bird !! A short story I got home late last night made a cocktail and received an e-mail from Dain one of our customers and simply said THAT"S IT! just saw an osprey fly overhead with a nice black drum as he is holding a mullet just larger than his fist. Then the picture I used came over the wire just about the same time with an osprey with a flounder. So the birds are eating well and the fishermen are starving.

The fishing does remain slow and the water looks a little on the dirty side this afternoon as the wind is picking up. Some folks are catching fish but most are struggling. Both large and small sharks were reported along with some massive sting rays. There are some mullet out there along with bluefish and some kingfish. The pier report is saying spanish, perch, bluefish, spot, and flounder. The nearshore fleet is bringing home spanish, bluefish, and ribbonfish. The offshore fleet had another good day with yellowfin, big eye tuna, and wahoo one came in at 68#s. Thanks to all who sent in their pics we do appreciate them.

The charter desk is open call for details or send me an e-mail.

The daily reminder June 27th the state will be shutting down the licensing system and won't come back online till July 1st at 8 am so have your ducks in a row and get it before you come up for that week!!
