Finally Good News In Corolla!! We had good walk-in reports this morning for a change. This morning up on the 4x4 beach reports of a good school of bluefish chewing it up!! Last night a good mullet bite with a report of ethier black drum which you will typically see up here or sheepshead which we have seen lately which is unusual but in either case, they were large fish and the angler had about six of them with a good mix of everything else. The shark fishing was also good with one angler getting 3 big ones and a double hook up one out deep and one in close both were landed. High tide is at 2:07 today so the afternoon and evenings have been picking up. Today very calm wind and hot with a water temp of 72. Oh boy, that felt good to finally have something to say and report!! Nearshore boats really hit it big yesterday with triggerfish, amberjacks, seabass, and good old spanish mackerel but a really productive day in comparison. The offshore fleet had some great yellowfin, mahi, and blue marlin. One of my charter captains who works the Knott Island area has been slamming large drum up there so a great time to get in on some action if you are staying or want to go out of Carova Beach.

We offer many different kinds of charter trips all over the island check out our trips and boats at obxbaitandtackl.com or call the shop for details and bookings. We will keep you posted as we hear changes like today, and we thank you.

June 27th state-wide shut down on fishing license till July 1st.
