Everyone meet Shawn Hegarty a SHARK WHISPERER!! from Ohio, I know who would have thought. Now as I understand the story he caught this fish last year and he is back up with his group this year I can best describe him as the leader of a three-ring circus. This group of guys are funner than well you know what and a really great bunch of people. They should be out there tonight trying to break their record but as Shawn describes he had hooked this giant of a shark as his fellow fishermen watched in amazement as he landed this creature not only by himself but I have to say he is a pretty damm good photographer as well. Next time I see him I may have to ask for an 8x10 glossy so I can put it up n the shop I mean he deserves a trophy or something or at least an up-to-date tide chart!! Anyway thanks for sharing the story Shawn and we enjoy having all of you in the shop you guys truly are good people.
As far as some kind of fishing report as you all know there's not much to report over the change over the weekend as new folks try their hand out at surf fishing. It's safe to say we still have mullet around with bluefish, kingfish, and SHARKS. The pier action has been on and off with mullet, spot, perch, and spanish now and then. The offshore fishing is a  little out of wack There are some tuna hitting the dock but not big numbers but a good amount of mahi and some rather large tilefish. There is also some good amberjack fishing to be had also. I will keep you posted as I hear new stuff, the waves today are 1 to 2 feet with a water temp of 75 we are heating up fast now come on pompano!!

We have some good open slots on our charter fleet right now and we offer a bunch of different trips from 1/2 day to full days offshore, sound side fishing in Corolla, evening cruises you can relax and watch the sunset or get in some light fishing at the same time. Are crabbing and shrimp boat is ready to go as the shrimp are now in season starting on the first of the month and I am hearing the crabbing is very good right now and not a bad way to spend an evening eating crab and shrimp while telling your favorite fish stories!
