Corolla Fish Report
Pretty nice day on this Sunday in Corolla. We have a super calm ocean today with nice clear water and a mild breeze but as I am doing this report we have some big thunderstorms approaching fast. Today we did get some word from the beach. Anglers said they were having a good mullet bite on fish bites today and reports of folks seeing Spanish in the water but none laded that I have heard about. We do see some minnows around which is always a good sign. Shark fishing is still what a bunch of people are seeking to do here and grows in popularity every year we have had some good catches this past week. We had a mix of fish on the piers today with sheepshead, mullet, blues, spanish, spot, and croaker. The nearshore boats are seeing some decent action with ribbons, spanish, and blues with extended trips finding amberjacks. The offshore fishing can be a bit bumpy on the tuna but some still are hitting the docks. The marlin action is picking up with boats getting multiple hookups with blue marlin, white marlin, and sailfish. Mahi are still coming in with some large tilefish so good news for the BBQ !!
Our local charter for the sound side is full this week but we do have openings for ocean fishing available. Call the shop and we'll get you all set up. Thank you!
