Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

Oh, what a beautiful morning yesterday was! We had calm winds and a calm emerald-green ocean. I have to say we have had a very calm ocean so far this season knock on wood! I don't think I have ever seen it this calm for this long. Hot and sunny today with a water temp of 78!! We should start to see the pompano moving up the coast so we will have to keep an eye out for them. We do have mullet, croaker, spot, and blues no word on any spanish however they are here. A few over-slot drum this week from shore and kyack. The piers are slow this morning with mullet and spot so far but yesterday morning a couple of king mackerels and throwback cobia were reported with Avalon having a 42' cobia landed. Nearshore boats getting ribbons, blues, and spanish. The offshore boats doing well but the sharks are ruining some people's catches. There are tuna out there along with marlin, sails, mahi, and some good size tilefish with a perfectly calm ocean so a nice smooth ride.

We do have charters available and our inshore boat in Corolla has been booked out this week so advanced notice is helpful but we do have plenty of spots open in the other marinas. Call the shop and reserve your spot on the water today!!
