Well, we had a cloudy day today with a southwest wind that really cooled the water off and it could affect the fishing. The water temp went from 78 to 68 today so the fish may or may not want to play. We do have a congratulation to go out to Cody Alvear and Blake Macey with a nice drum caught yesterday on crab at MP 11 on the 4x4 beach so great job guys keep it up. I am sorry Cody your picture went to spam and I am not sure why but we got it. Some other good fishing is going on up in Carova and I hope to have the pictures by tomorrow with some nice catches. I have had quite a few reports of large drum in the area mostly caught at night. A large bluefish also up there and in the last few days it sounds like there has been decent fishing. Folks are catching mullet, croakers, spot, drum, bluefish, and spanish. The shark fishing has been quiet this week but the other fishing is not too bad I am actually surprised especially on the drum but hey we'll take it. The piers have been hit and miss with a prize every now and then. The nearshore fleet has ribbons, spanish, and blues with the extended trips finding amberjacks and tilefish. The offshore fleet had a good day with yellowfin, mahi, blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, tilefish, and sea bass. I am not sure when this wind is going to change I will look into it tomorrow but not to worry the warm water will return till then be safe.

We have charters available call the shop or check out the website at obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com

The crabbing and shrimp trips doing very well and the shrimp are coming in good and will only get better and bigger as the season continues.
