It's definitely shark week !! I have a quickie report today. As the caption reads we have a lot of sharks hitting the beach from black tips to sand tigers and a few well I'm not sure but folks are having fun. The last couple of days we have had a northeast wind and it has kicked up the surf and the rip current. The current is a little hard to deal with but it has picked the fishing up. We have seen some nice size drum some blue runners which we don't usually see bluefish, mullet, croaker, and spot. There were a couple of king mackerels caught on Avalon Pier this morning and a 47.5# cobia off of Jennette's pier this morning. So we just had a walk-in report and he went ten for ten on the drum last night so he fishes here all the time and they are here right now with this rough surf so it's game on up here. Offshore hit a home run yesterday with some nice yellowfin with the wahoo coming out to play with mahi and tiles. That's it I will try to pick it up tomorrow.
