Terrific Thursday. We saw a great day yesterday with a bunch of drum, mullet, bluefish, blue runners and crokers, and a trout. Fishing should be good today as well as we have an east wind which is what we look for. Most people are catching fish and have had a good week. The shark fishing has been crazy with a lot of hookups with sand tigers and black tips so the sharks are here. I am hearing reports of people dragging out bait or taking it out on a boogie board and I have to say it's probably not a good idea to do that if you do your bait should be on a long leader not right next to you it's a good way for you to become the bait. The pier action has a mixed bag on them today. The nearshore boats had ribbons and bluefish while the offshore clan had a good day with yellowfin, mahi, and marlin with one coming in at 162#s. The sound side fishing up here has been good with slot size drum, black drum, trout, and perch.

Charters are available call the shop for details and the shrimping action is also good as well.

Send in your fishing pictures to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
