Bait from the shop to catch the bait in the surf and you get a nice big drum. That's how it is done folks and Tyler James from Williamsburg Virginia did just that and it paid off on the first cast with some fresh caught mullet and the next cast a nice size flounder so well done Tyler and thanks for sharing your picture. It was still on the rough side this morning but the drum do love that rough surf. There were also mullet and spot in the surf today. The water does look better this afternoon compared to yesterday. The piers saw pinfish, sheepshead, flounder, and spade fish. Nearshore on the bayside there is good drum and trout to be had right now and on the ocean side, there are ribbons, spanish, king mackerel, and bluefish. Offshore action has been yellowfin, blackfin, wahoo, mahi, tilefish, and a bunch of billfish. Thats what I have for you today and we will pick it up tomorrow.

Charters are available and you can send in your pictures to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
