Well, it just may be drum time. Congratulations go out to Lil Stew who is resident Johns's nephew caught his first drum so well done Stew I hope everyone had a great Labor Day off I have missed the last couple of days. Yesterday at dusk we had a bunch of reports this morning on what sounds like a really good drum bite there were a bunch of folks talking about getting some last night. We still have the usalls with mullet, croaker, and spots with a blue here and there. The water temp today is 76 and decent conditions out. Just enough wave activity to bring in those drum. The was a large black drum on Jennette's pier this morning so we should start to see some black drum on the line soon as we start to get into some better fishing. A great day offshore with lots of billfish and a 706# blue marlin. There are plenty of sailfish, white and blue marlin, spearfish, mahi. Nearshore had spanish, blues, ribbons, and false albacore.

The charter fleet has openings this week and some great fishing to be sure call and reserve your spot today.

Send your photos to obxbaitandtackle@yahoo.com and we thank you.
