Corolla Fish Report
Marching to the beat of that Drum is what we have today. More reports and more drum are hitting the lines in Corolla and Carova. Hats off to Levi from Spring City PA hit his 42" drum last night using some cut-up bluefish that he caught earlier and bagged this beauty and he came in for his citation for catching and releasing his fish, citations for drum are 40" and above so great job Levi!! Bryan Wicherd up in Carova caught his nice drum while fishing with a friend of Alan Davenport who bagged the black tip. Patrick and Cathy sent in another photo It may not be a monster but these two are enjoying themselves and that's all that matters. These pics pretty much somes the fishing up we are also seeing some bigger muller and schooling bluefish around with croaker too. We are getting puppy drum during the daytime and the larger fish at night mostly on cut mullet and some even on fish bites. Cathy did comment that the water feels a little cooler today and that comes from the south wind we have. Out to the piers we see spanish, blues, pinfish, and puppy drum this afternoon. The nearshore boats are getting drum and trout to the inside and along the shore ocean side spanish, blues ribbon, and false albacore with extended trips bringing back amberjacks and king mackerel. Captain Troy from the Fowl Hooked yesterday was on an extended trip yesterday and added a sailfish to the load so that fish was in close. The offshore fleet are getting as many sails as you want to catch along with white and blue marlin, mahi, wahoo, and let's just throw in some blackfin too.!! The fishing is stellar right now so get out there and enjoy it next week will be rough.
