Corolla Fishing Report
Hot and beautiful out today a bit of a late report. Waves 1 foot and glassy with a water temp of 79 today. Surf fishing along the beach heated up late yesterday afternoon. We have a lot of bait fish in the surf and a big school of bluefish moved in. We had reports this morning of anglers catching 20 to 25 fish an hour and the mullet bit was good as well. Congrats to Jake Horne for catching this big ray weighing around 45 lbs and 4 foot wide. Jake reeled on this guy for 45 min and was caught on a dead eel on the 4x4 beach, great job Jake. The piers were slow this morning. Inshore has had a good drum bite while on the outside on the 4 hr trips has been slow. The six-hour trips have been doing much better with tilefish, king mackerel, sea bass, Spanish. Offshore isn't red hot but they are are getting decent action on the white and blue marlin with a few sailfish. Scattered tuna here and there. The Mahi bite is either there or it's not. Limits of tilefish and if you want some good I mean great fish you want to catch a few of these guys. There are also wahoo out there to boot.
