Winter Concert @ All Saints Episcopal Church
Outer Banks Chorus members will present “And Sweet Singing in the Choir,” their winter holiday concert on Friday, December 11, at 7:30 p.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church and Sunday, December 13, at 4 p.m. in St. Andrews by-the-Sea Episcopal Church.
In addition to the title piece, this community chorus comprising more than 60 voices will be performing lyric pieces such as “Candlelight Choir,” “Et in Terra Pax,” “Holy Night,” “Behold That Star!” and well-known pieces such as “Good People All Rejoice,” “Winter Wonderland,” and a “Home for the Holidays” medley. Audience and chorus also will have fun with “Doo Wop Christmas,” “Fum, Fum, Fum,” and “Twelve Days After Christmas.”
The Chorus will invite audience members to sing-along on several traditional seasonal carols. Guests who have sung with the chorus in other seasons will join in singing the finale, “The Music of Life” by Joseph Martin, the group’s signature piece, at both the December 11 and 13 performances.
The concerts are free; donations toward the non-profit group’s expenses will be accepted at the door.
