Fort Raleigh National Historic Site Guided Tours
OBX History Weekend's Wednesday Guided Site Tours at Fort Raleigh National Historic Site meet at the Lindsay Warren Visitor Center.
The site tour will include the museum, a video screening, and National Park Service ranger-led walking tours of the Historic Zone and of The Lost Colony's Waterside Theatre.
Living history episodes included at the Wednesday Fort Raleigh Historic Site tours include:
An interactive Living History Episode of Elizabethan Songs and Instrumentals will star the ever-popular Elizabethan lady, Nancy Avalon, an interpreter from Colorado. The performance will take place inside the Visitor Center.
Willie Balderson, Director of Living History and Historic Trades Interpretation for the Jamestown Rediscovery Foundation, performs his living history episode in the Historic Zone. Balderson portrays Anas Todkill, the Jamestown colonist sent to search for survivors of Raleigh’s ‘lost colony’.
OBX History Weekend's site tours will be free and open to the public without a reservation. If you would like to attend our free, public-oriented symposium on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, reservations are recommended.
