Once in a lifetime fish from the beach for this young man! Awesome job Mason!
Shared From the NC Beach Buggy Association: Young 11 year old local boy, Mason Midgett Bocks, fishing Ramp 25 with his Grandpa this morning caught this 65” tarpon. At first he thought it was a shark, but after it made a few jumps he knew it was a tarpon. The giant fish worked him down the beach a 1/4 mile and finally brought it to shore after about 30 minute fight to the finish. With the help of his Grandpa they released the tarpon together to live on.
