Oil Painting With Justin Leitner
Learn how to oil paint with an experienced oil painter in this beginner friendly two day course where you will learn layering techniques, unique color mixtures, and creating different types of marks with a brush and palette knife. We will be learning how to simplify photographic references to create an expressive abstract landscape on wood panels ranging from 3x3 to 5x5 inches. Students can paint up to three paintings depending on their speed.

Justin Leitner is a full time, professional artist based in Durham, North Carolina with over 20 years of experience. His work strives to capture the silent energy of nature with the use of powerful color combinations, intuition and texture. Subjects range from skyscapes, rivers and trees to architecture, birds and humorous situations that tell a story. Each composition is meticulously crafted using layers of gold leaf and oil paint on wood panels.
