Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival
Ready to learn about the history and art of decoy making? Wanting to talk all things decoys, this is the event for you!
Presented by the Ocracoke Island Decoy Carvers Guild, the Annual Ocracoke Island Waterfowl Festival draws attendees which include carvers and collectors from Ocracoke Island and the region. Explore the displays of carvers showing and selling their items.
The featured waterfowl species will be the Pintail duck, often referred locally as a Sprigtail.
There will be decoy carvings of redheads, ruddy ducks, sprigtail, blue bills, ringnecks, swans, geese, shorebirds and more, along with artwork and artifacts related to North Carolina’s rich waterfowl tradition.
Merchandise will be available for sale including t-shirts, the popular event poster and raffles.
