Event Description:
Shirlette Ammons is an acclaimed hip hop recording artist as well as an Emmy award-winning Producer and Poet. Originally, from Eastern NC, Ammons now resides in Durham, NC. Ammons will be at Old Tom's for a welcome reception and more intimate hip hop session with her band Friday evening. Saturday afternoon, Old Tom's and Ammons will host a screening of a documentary short, The Hook.
