Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet

Offshore Fishing this week has been fantastic with flags flying on nearly all of the boats over the 7 days yielding more than 240 white marlin releases, more than 10 blue marlin releases, and more than 10 sails and spears! Anglers have brought in limits of mahi mahi, some very nice wahoo, including 1 60 lb, and the tunas are making their return with one angler bringing in a 209 lb big eye! There were some very nice yellow-fin and black-fin tuna brought in as well.

Nearshore half-day fishing trips have been doing very well, with anglers bring in nice Spanish macs and blues as well as some albacore and ribbonfish.  All-day fishing trips have brought in king macs, albacore, amberjack, sea bass, triggerfish, and 1 barracuda.

Inshore fishing trips have been very good also with anglers bringing in nice Spanish macs, blues, and ribbonfish. A couple of all-day fishing trips saw moderate cobia fishing with one angler bringing in a 71 lb cobia caught on light tackle. Other anglers brought in amberjack, albacore, king macs, and several red drum catch and releases.

Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat fishing was active this week with anglers bringing in flounder, spot, croaker, mullet, grey trout, bluefish, and pufferfish. Miss Oregon Inlet sails Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..
