Weather Happens
Matthew surely menaced himself right into the record books! Here on the Outer Banks, we move through time storm by storm and plan events weather system to weather system. The calendar does little to assist in planning; it's simply a number on a piece of paper. Outer Bankers, though, are resilient, to say the least, and truly hearty humans, determined to eek out as much work time, time in the sun, hook-n-line time, and sand-time in between weather systems. Even though the eye is gone and the winds have stilled, we must wait for the mighty ocean to calm and give us the excellent fishing we have come to love on the Outer Banks.
As the captains survey the effects of Matthew and Nicole, please know they have safety at the forefront, yours and theirs. Even though NOAA may give you a favorable forecast, other conditions directly impact safe passage to the best fishing grounds on the East Coast.
