March to Remember
Event Description:
Join your community in remembrance of September 11th, 2001 as we walk from the DCEMS Station1/KDHFD Station 14 to the Wright Brothers Memorial and back. Wear something to honor those who gave it all.
Registration will begin at 7 a.m. at Dare County EMS Station 1/Kill Devil Hills Fire Department Station 14. The march will begin promptly at 8:46 a.m., the time when American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
Attendees are encouraged to park at Meekins Park or Dare Centre and walk to the station, which serves as the starting point for the walk. Light refreshments, generously donated for the event, will be available for attendees.
