Event Description:
Music at the Meetinghouse presents the Outer Banks' own Riff Tides! Enjoy an evening of 1950’s music, fellowship and refreshments. Dancing in the aisles is permited, of course!
The Outer Banks is fortunate to have many talented musicians. Although there is a wide range of music genre offered in our many venues — jazz, folk, blue grass, rock 'n' roll and more — there was something missing. The 1950's was a period of great change in popular music. There was a transition from big band to groups as we know them. Additionally, the sound of the electric guitar grew out from this period. So…the Riff Tides got together to cover the best of the 50's, with some 40's, 60's and 70's mixed in.
