In the wake of Hurricane Dorian, many of Ocracoke's islanders are preparing for a very different Thanksgiving than those in past years. In light of this, Ocracoke Community Members, Ocracoke Disaster Relief and Liberty Fellowship Church are organizing a Thanksgiving celebration at Berkley Barn and invite Islanders to share it. The event will provide a holiday feast of roast turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and beverages, and attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite potluck item to share.
