'Promise for the Park' Beach Cleanup
The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, in collaboration with local community partners, will host the first of several annual beach cleanups as part of its involvement in the National Park Service Adopt-a-Beach Program. Aligned with The Outer Banks Promise—a destination pledge encouraging both visitors and residents to protect the area through responsible actions and increased stewardship—the Bureau has adopted Cape Hatteras National Seashore Beach Access Ramp 1. This adoption includes the pedestrian access ramp just south of the homes in South Nags Head and extends approximately a half-mile down the beach to Ramp 2 at Coquina Beach.
Please arrive a few minutes early for check-in. All volunteers must sign a waiver and go over a quick safety briefing.
