Day 3.. Lay Day

Pirate's Cove Marina, Day 3.. Lay Day
Thursday, August 18, 2016
Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet

We did have a few Charters out that aren’t fishing the Pirates Cove Marina that had a good catch of tilefish, Mahi Mahi and some billfish releases! Fishing is good and getting better. Give us a call at (252) 473-3906 and let’s get you all rigged up on your next fishing trip!

Today was the main lay day for most boats we had 41 out of 72 take the day off. Fishing was still great and the scoreboard had changed up a little bit after today as of now the leaderboard is as follows: 1st Place – Rigged Up, 2nd Place – Legacy, 3rd Place – Uno Mas, 4th Place –  Desperado,  5th Place – Bi Op Sea. We absolutely love to see 4 out of the top 5 to be local boats. Keep it up guys tomorrow is the big day, last day of fishing. No one has killed any Blue Marlins this week and that could absolutely be a game changer. Stay tuned! Things could get interesting tomorrow with $612,000 on the line in prize money!!

We also got in a TON of new tournament shirts! We were running low on some colors and sizes but we have just about all of them back in stock! Get them while they are here! You can also get all of them online at our website! Check them out at www.fishpiratescove.com

Due to the storm this evening we don’t have any pictures for today’s catches! Too much rain to take the cameras outside! Everyone stay dry tonight!
